You wanna talk about it but don’t know how

Trying to let go, but the words won’t come out

It’s like living a nightmare there’s no escape from

The one where you try to get up but there’s something pushing you further down

Just when it’s ended another begun

Stuck on repeat, a song that’s already been sung

You try to turn from it, but yet you sing along

Thinking maybe this time it’s over, this is the final run

You thought changes were made, you were so sure

Then you press replay and déjà vu comes rushing towards you once more

In the end you always find something to blame

Without realizing life screwed you over once again

#FIRSTPOEMOF2021

Is a rainbow gonna come after a storm?

Or was it one good thing we had before it all started to crumble down

When the clouds has passed and the sun shines again

We tend to assume it’s a good thing

A leap of faith, a ray of hope

A clearer vision than we had before

Another path, another chance

A brand new plan with a blast of positivity

Another wave of adrenaline through our body

Until we get that jolt back to reality

No matter how good it is, it’s gonna end

A silver lining is stretched awfully thin
