IF ONLY

If time’s supposed to heal

Then why is this pain increasing

If crossing over is so easy

Then why am I drowning

If hurt is just another chapter

Then why is it reoccurring

If letting go makes it better

Then why does it feel as if I’m the one falling

If tears held back would eventually go away

Then why is this ocean still here

If pain is just to make us stronger

Then how could I still feel so weak

If love’s supposed to cure all pain

Then why does it keep messing up everything

 If faith drives off obstacles

Then why is there still this mountain

If hope really did help

Then I would be one happy person

If only love was a dream

Then none of this would be happening
