LOOSE ENDS

You walked away with a smiling face

You made me feel like everything was perfect

But you had your knife hidden as you cut the threads

Broke all connections you and I ever had

You know what hurts more than having a breakup

You making me feel like it’s worth it, even though you knew you felt nothing

Now I’m left hanging high off the ground

On a broken thread, it’s isolated, nobody’s around

You waved goodbye in such a way it didn’t hurt

You smiled saying you’ll come back, it’s been ages and you can’t be found

The thread broke as I fell back into reality

Everything else matters the most, but to you I’m nobody
