REBOUND
“Jilted love” is that what it’s called?
Loving somebody who doesn’t love you at all
Only this isn’t from my point of view
He’s the only one in love yet he doesn’t have a clue
Regardless of his gestures, I’ll never feel the same
See he met me when all I knew was hurt and pain
Even though he tried to mend a shattered heart
That only seemed to have drifted us ten feet apart
Time went by and we’re still together
It’s been almost a year and love hasn’t gotten better
I think he’s suspicious but doesn’t say a thing
But I knew better when he started drinking
I may have broken him or torn him to shreds
He should have seen it coming, all the flags raised were red
It’s not my fault he should have known
I wasn’t ready for this, so he was just a rebound
